Survived the First Week in Dalkeith

Well, all is well. I survived my first week in Scotland and school. I almost had to have two and a half hours of class, a break for lunch, and then seven hours of class with about an hour break! Luckily I got my scheduled changed around and I do not have to go through that torture. Classes shouldn't be too bad, just maybe the Wisconsin in Scotland: Globalization. I have a Scottish professor that teaches it and of course, I already have to do a presentation for Monday. Tuesdays and Thursdays are nice because I am done with class by noon, but I do have to do breakfast duty at 7 in the morning. The upside to having breakfast duty is I get to eat right away and get the good coffee. After I was done with class today I went for a couple hour walk. It was so nice out, the temp was around 42 degrees Fahrenheit. I went around some of the trails around the estate. The trees and animals are like the same as we have in Wisconsin. :) Then I went into town to wander around and see the shops. I think everyone had the same idea because I saw a lot of kids from the program walking around. Tonight some girls that like to hang out with, went with me to the "Tesco". Tesco is like Scotland's version of Wal-Mart. We took the bus, but decided that it wasn't worth the bus pass so next time we will just walk the 20 minutes there. I picked up some snacks, FINALLY! ha. Tomorrow I will be taking a walking tour around Edinburgh with a group of people from the program. I can't wait to see all the sights. There will be more pictures then. Saturday I am probably going to work on homework, sleep, and look up information for my spring break trip. Oh, and head out to the pub and night with the girls! Sunday, I will then be up bright and early to head to Stirling and Linlithgow Castles. Hopefully a good blog to come after the exciting weekend!
